We found devoted New York dads Matthew Broderick and Michael Douglas each walking their kids to school this morning. It’s one of those wonderful east coast rituals you just don’t see in Hollywood. Never have we stumbled upon a Los Angeles-based celeb walking their kid to class. The closest we get is spotting them waiting in their cars in the parking lot. It’s just a little less charming.

This morning we found Matthew Broderick walking son James Wilkie to school. More often than not Sarah Jessica Parker takes the 7-year-old, but she’s currently in London for Fashion Week. And Michael Douglas was looking remarkably healthy – though very somber – as he walked 7-year-old daughter Carys to class. The actor is currently fighting throat cancer, and has an excellent prognosis.
