We were elated to see Michael Douglas out and about in New York City yesterday. The actor’s been laying low since news of his throat cancer became public. Reports say that he’s begun an 8 week course of chemotherapy and has an excellent prognosis. Though he did look a bit thinner when we caught up with him, Douglas still looks remarkably healthy.

To add to the complications in his life, Michael’s being sued by his ex-wife Diandra for a share in the profits of the Wall Street sequel. Though the couple has been divorced for 10 years, Diandra claims she’s entitled to any of Michael’s earnings from films during their marriage – and from sequels that were made after their marriage. Though he had the option to postpone the legal wranglings due to his cancer, Michael’s said he wants to get them over with.
