This morning INF Daily caught model Elle Macpherson dropping off her two sons at school amid her revelation last month that she eats powdered rhino horn. Rhinos are on the verge of extinction because poachers hack off their horns, resulting in the rhino’s slow and excruciatingly painful death. Thanks to the poaching market, rhino horn is now worth $60K for a kilo – compared to $40K for gold. Elle’s very casual about the whole thing in an interview with Britain’s Sunday Times.

[Times] You’re said to be a great fan of Chinese medicine. What does powdered rhino horn taste like?
E MacP: A little bit like crushed bone and fungus in a capsule. Does the job though.

[Times]: How do you know that it works? A lot of people say Chinese medicine is quackery.

Elle is getting a ton of flack for her lackadaisical attitude towards such a cruel and inhumane practice. Of course when we caught her today she looked like she didn’t have a care in the world. And she clearly doesn’t.
