Courtney Love was on Howard Stern’s radio show yesterday, so naturally she had to say the most shocking things she could. Courtney’s got the market cornered thanks to her insane, nonsensical rants on her MySpace blog. But MySpace readers are few and far between anymore, whereas Howard Stern has quite the audience. According to Love, she boned Gavin Rossdale back in the day when he was dating – but not married to – Gwen Stefani. In fact the dalliance went on for eight months. While that’s pretty shocking in and of itself, Love claims that Gwen Stefani knew about it. That’s the most shocking part to us.

Love’s phrasing is rather ambiguous. When Stern asks her, "You were [having sex with] him while he was with Gwen Stefani?"  she responds, "Yes. She does know." Love doesn’t say Stefani did know at the time, but rather that she is now aware. She may have known at the time – that’s anyone’s guess.

What we find most shocking is that Gavin would get with someone as ratty, crazy, and unkempt as Courtney Love.
