RACHEL ZOE LOOKS PAINFULLY THIN

Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe took some time out from Los Angeles to have a relaxing New Year vacation with her husband, Rodger, in St Bart’s.

But we couldn’t help but notice how thin Rachel, 38, looks.

Everyone has an opinion how celebrities appear these days, if they have put on or lost a few pounds and if they look good or bad in a certain dress on the red carpet.

When you see pictures like this, what do you think?

Is Rachel naturally thin? Or does she have serious health issues? Let us know your thoughts in our comments page.

    Racheal Zoe starves herself!
    Stop the presses, like DUH.

ewwww she looks terribly unhealthy I am sorry but that is not attractive. Her head looks too big for her body she is out of proportion.

  • Anonymous

this is not healthy or attractive. could she naturally be this thin? possibly, but not likely. it’s sad the extent women (in particular) will go to maintain what they perceive as being fashionable and attractive all for the sake of clothes looking “good” on their fat free frames. should she have the energy to function naturally without any artificial pick me ups would be astounding. forget about starving children in 3rd world countries. it seems someone needs to take care of these starving starlets here in LALA land.

wow i dont know what to say except… i wish i was that skinny.

  • katie

I think she has formed habits over a lifetime and is content with her looks.. maybe at one time she dieted or whatever but has simply developed a habitual way of eating that suits her. What we think is immaterial.

I WATCHED HER REALITY SHOW THE ENTIRE TIME IT WAS ON SHE WAS NOT THIS THIN IN THE BEGINNING. IF THERE IS ANY ONE OUT THERE WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT HER THEY BETTER THROW HER A LIFE LINE.
OR WE MAY INDEED READ ABOUT ANOTHER TRAGEDY. SHE IS HORRIBLY UNHEATHY AND ANYONE WHO THINKS DIFFERENTLY IS IN LA-LA LAND

If we were looking at someone this thin from some area of Africa where they dont have enough food to eat, we would be feeling horribly sorry for them. For someone to CHOOSE this in a country with all the riches available, – someone with many financial resources – is so, so wrong on so many levels, including the superficial level.

  • sydneymusic

Ouch. Too thin. She needs to eat..she looks closer to 50. Eat a sandwich, Rachel. I live here, and the whole Hollywood thing with being thin is prevalent everywhere you go. What can ya do? It’s a hard business.

who cares. If she wants to look like that, so be it. I dont think it’s attractive and I wont be surprised when she dies of cardiac arrest.

  • Anonymous

It’s anorexia, people. She’s very ill.

  • Anonymous

It looks like she just got voted off super-survivor…not healthy

When women in fashion want to be that skinny, it’s to wear the clothes effortlessly and look good (literally, like clothes on a hanger). However, in her last season of The Rachel Zoe Project, there were beautiful outfits she couldn’t wear because she was way too skinny and they looked terrible on her.

I think she’s missed her own point. She’s crossed over into illness.

  • Anonymous

She may be anorexic as she seems to be hiding her”hips”.

  • Anonymous

I think that the people writing this article made those photos look worse for her than she is right now.

  • Anonymous

oo, My god!!And her husband sleep with that.

  • Yak

    Eat a sandwich bitch.

  • Michael

She looks like she has the body of a 75 year old woman. Looks like the stress of her job has already caught up with her….in her mid 30′s. Sad.

  • Anonymous

She looks like she has just emerged from a concentration camp.

Who Let the Dogs Out? Her photos do make the dogs want to have some of that bones. She is thin. But not sick. Its her style of sexy. We think she is hot.

  • zebra

She looks horrible but then she does anyway walking around with those poor dead animal pelts all the time. As everybody knows, only ugly people wear fur. Obviously no heart or soul.

  • Anonymous

i wouldn’t take advice from that woman on what to wear to walk my dog.

  • Anonymous

As my father used to say, nobody wants a bone but a dog and he buries it.

  • Anonymous

She will be dead from cardiac arrest caused by anorexia nervosa inside of a year, if she continues. But who cares?

  • Anonymous

She reminds me of Brittany Murphey

This woman has enough money and vanity to hire a trainer and nutritionist to help her maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. I watched her reality show and it’s clear she has numerous issues regarding her body image and work related stress. Her family needs to rein her in and get Rachel the help she needs, which begins with a healthy diet. She drinks way too much coffee, whines too easily and often, and doesn’t eat. I was shocked when I found out she was 38. Rachel looks 50 or older. Only in America, huh?

    sick and ugly

Whether or not she’s too skinny, she doesn’t look happy. That’s one thing I noticed on her TV show. She never seems very happy. Something is going on. Workaholism, whatever.

  • Anonymous

Real women have flesh on their bones.

  • Moderniste

Yes, she is skinny, but I don’t think that she is anorexic. The level of energy she maintains as one of the fashion world’s leading stylists is almost superhuman, and anorexics simply can’t function at that level.

It’s become too acceptable to bag on thin people in our nation of obese citizens with serious denial issues. Turn it around and allow the same hysterial meanness towards a fat actress, and you’d have a veritable flood of politically correct horror.

I speak these comments from my own personal experience. I am a 41 year old woman who is 6 feet tall, small boned like Rachael, and weigh 132. I don’t diet–never have. I simply eat many small meals throughout the day and walk everywhere in my hilly city of San Francisco. And I am shocked at how many times complete strangers will loudly comment to their friend that I must have an eating disorder. Sometimes they’ll be brave enough to say it to my face–always with the same combined tone of disgust and superiority.

In the name of It’s None Of Your Business, leave us skinnies alone!

If she would stand up straight, she’d look a whole lot better. Good posture always improves ones looks, fat or thin.

I agree with a previous poster about her lifestyle. Even on the show, it doesn’t appear that this woman stops. I am surprised to see her on vacation with her husband. It’s too bad that she has to be literally knocked off of her feet to rest and relax. I’m sure that it has only gotten worse since Taylor has left.
I am thinking that she needs to come here to Texas and eat some great steak, barbecue, and Texas chili.

She will never be a beauty!!

It might be like screwing a napkin??

  • Anonymous

Lots of women will consider these photos “thinspo” (inspiration for women with eating disorders). Just like photos of Kelly Rippa and others. But to me, she does look ill- and unattractive.

  • Anonymous

She definitely appears to be malnourished.

Her body reminds me of movie footage of the survivors of the concentration camps in Germany during WWII. Your bones in your chest aren’t suppose to show unless you are extremely underweight. Would you buy a chicken in the grocery store if it was this puny & boney?
Is this healthy? Is this sexy? Do you think this woman could climb a mountain? NO.
Most anorexics are in deep denial about the reality of their situation. It’s part of the illness.

The diet, weightloss, workout, personal trainer, tummy tuck, flabby butt industry is over 100 Billion dollars. Somebody else wants to be skinny and it isn’t just Rachel Zoe. What disturbes me is how women are so gullible to let men (who run these industries by the way) determine what attractive is. If 1000 men suddenly announced that all they wanted was size 6 women, many women would end their lives. They would feel as if there was no hope. Truth is, women obsess about their weight. The first five minutes with any woman consists of a comment about her weight. She either likes her dislikes her size and must immediately announce it to whoever listens. What happened to the good ole days when women had big hips and liked it, it’s simple men said they didn’t. My advise ladies, do you live your own life, your own existence. If your comfortable, do you. If not, what’s the difference, just don’t let someone else define what you appearance should be saying to the world. We’ve all been tagged as pawns in the weight loss/gain game. No one is really concerned one way or another until, we spend our much needed $ on their miracle product. So again. do you an be happy. Rachel Zoe could care less what you think or feel about her weight and you should care less about what someone thinks of yours. Trouble is your not, so most of us seek out someone, anyone to mirror our dislike for ourselves. It’s ridiculous and cruel. Whether or not Rachel feels like a napkin in bed, eats a sandwich, a bucket of chicken or not, look to yourself and find out why you seem to be so upset about it.

I would have to agree with some of the other posters, My jaw dropped when I read she is only 38 , I though she was in her mid 50s. she has that hunched over, dried out old prune look about her, and I’m not trying to be mean.

utterly appalling that are spending time and space on someone such as this thing . Have no idea who it is but shame on you for wasting time on this thing

    How sad.

has the skinny from San Francisco hear of speed? No one can exist with that weight and put in the hours she does without a little “help”. She looks awful. My mom was naturally thin for years, 5’8″ 122 lbs but she had meat on her bones. This chick is bones. Gross and ugly.

only in a land of gluttony is it a luxury to be skinny.

She has the breasts of an 80-year old woman whose suckled 13 children! This is the look that is fashionable now?! Yikes!

  • LeeLee

Poor thing. I watch her show and I like her and she’s a very hard worker and takes her job seriously. Personally, I think she’s ill. She’s already handed over the reigns to her husband because of vertigo. I wish her the best and hope that she begins taking care of herself — and obviously eating more.

  • LadyKate

She’s ill. Clearly underweight and yet mostly covered up with a big black skirt thing….classic anorexia. Also, her signature look is kind of a billowy bohemian style…perhaps yet another way to camoflage her non-existent fat?

eat a few more sandwiches bitch

I can’t say I’ve ever seen chest bones beneath the clavicle on someone who wasn’t starving in Africa.

  • Ron

What’s REALLY sad, and I’m not trying to be funny or sarcastic, but…

the reality is, she probably hasn’t reached her “target weight” yet.

It doesn’t help that she’s also involved in the most superficial industry on the planet where “Concentration Camp Chanel Chic” is the rule.

  • Anonymous

I know we all have different taste but GD!!! She better have a lot of money.

  • Anonymous

she looks 60 something. I know skinny is trendy but I didn’t know old was too.

I feel such compassion for her because the saying ” You can’t be too thin or too rich”, can put you in the grave. Then
the money you have can pay for your funeral.
I am a recovering anorexic, and became one after the birth
of my children. I felt the pressure to get thin again as soon as possible and the power that anorexia had over me was
tremendous. I saw a person who still needed to lose weight, and my bones were sticking out. I was running 30-40 miles a
week and eating only lettuce and diet coke. Went to a therapist but was able to con her into believing I was in
recovery. The peditrician took one look at me when I had my children in for a check up and he told me to go home, enjoy them for the next few months, because after that I would be dead. That was a Huge wake up call for me, and I worked albeit slowly, to learn how to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle again. Its a battle, and unless you have experienced it, you cannot begin to understand the pain and lack of control one feels in their life to get to that point. I always strived to put others needs above my own. Martyr syndrome for sure, and in doing that the resentment had been building for years. Not eating was my way of controling the situation and no one could do anthing about it. As silly as that may sound, I felt at the tine it was the only thing in my life that I could control. I wish her all the best.

She looks pitiful. There are no muscles anywhere. No one in their right mind would want to look this way. This is a serious illness.
She needs help before her heart muscles give out. She has the breasts of an old woman.

I was anorexic for three years because of severe sexual abuse in my childhood. I was ashamed of my skinny, boney body and covered up all the time. I couldn’t put anything in my mouth.
I got therapy and was hospitalized until I gained some weight back.

I hope she gets the help she needs. And learns to appreciate her body for all the wonderful things it can do.

She’s that thin because she does not eat much and because she’s a vegetarian.
