SURI CRUISE SIPS ON STARBUCKS

First we spotted Suri Cruise strolling around Boston wearing high heels.. Now this weekend she’s drinking coffee!? I didn’t know she was 3 yrs old going on 30!

Little miss Cruise and her celebrity mommy and daddy – Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise – spent some time in Boston, Massachusetts, this weekend where papa Cruise is filming his latest film Wichita.

When the family of three stopped into Starbucks on Sunday they caused quite a commotion.. take a look at our video to see the swarms of fans/paparazzi/admirers surrounding them as they walk down the street.. What a crazy scene!!

Check out more pics of the Cruise family’s coffee run below..

Why is Suri Cruise always in sleeveless clothing? Everyone around her are always dressed in jackets and coats. What’s up with the blanket? Only babies have blankets.

  • http://infdaily.com Anonymous

FYI: Just because the child is holding a Starbucks cups doesn’t automatically mean she is drinking COFFEE. Starbucks also sells hot chocolate, syrup creams and apple cider.

  • Izzy

    Really?? I mean really??
Yeah because Starbucks never makes hot chocolate for kids! Never! Every drink has coffee in it! Even their fruit smoothies!

Such a non-story! Though the bad shoes and fact that she is underdressed for weather are problems

  • Izzy

PS… take back the dressing part as he is holding her jacket! Doy.. missed that… maybe the girl is a human oven

I bet Katie is pregnant. Recently all she wears are long oversized shirts, scarves, either with a large bag strapped across her or she’s carrying Suri with a big blanket draped around her. I say it’s all part of the disguise. And what is up with the plaid shirts both Katie and Tom are wearing…… not a good look on Tom especially.

  • http://infdaily.com Anonymous

Nonsense. As a Starbucks barista I can assure you not ALL our beverages have coffee including the hot chocolate and especially the smoothies.

  • Proud Mom of 4

I have a 3 year daughter who loves to play dress up. I have let her wear “high heals” to her daycare and even let her wear them in a store. She likes it. This past week I even let her wear a purple haired wig inside Lowe’s. A lady that was in the parking lot commented to her how much she liked her hair and then told me and my husband that if that was the worst thing she ever wanted to wear in public, we would do just fine. There’s nothing wrong with letting kids play dress-up and wear silly things in public. It didn’t hurt my child nor is it going to hurt Suri. The only thing Tom and Katie have to worry about is how big of a deal is the press going to make of it! As far as the coffee goes, ever heard of decaf????? I like to drink coffee too and both my girls, the 3 year old and 11 years old, like drink it because Moma does. Nothing wrong with it. If I’m at the house drinking a cup and they want some, pour the coffee cup full of milk and add enough coffee to change the color. come on people, parenting takes an imagination. stop making something of nothing.

  • Anonymous

Don’t they ever dress that kid? She seems to always be in sundresses and no socks while the mother is in boots and scarves.

  • Anonymous

if you really are a Starbucks barista you are pretty uninformed. I don’t drink coffee but go to SB all the time. I get hot chocolate, steamed milk with vanilla syrup, apple cider, vanilla creme and chocolate chip creme. Non of which have coffee. Also, my niece likes to drink her water in a SB cup to be “like the adults”. Get over yourself. Really.

  • Anonymous

Notice that Tom is wearing elevator shoes.

  • http://infdaily.com Anonymous

Starbucks Barista here. Not understanding the venom in your post. I was merely addressing a previous post in which the poster claims EVERY Starbucks drinks has coffee in it. I am well aware and “informed” as to what is on our menu and to be more specific, espresso can be added or deleted to ANY beverage.

  • Anonymous

Just yesterday I saw a man in his 30s ask for just cold milk at Starbucks and they obliged. As for the blanket … how about a bit of modesty with legs wrapped around mama while wearing a dress so photographers (and pedophiles) don’t get a shot of her underwear? I’d do the same, especially if cameras were hounding me.

  • Anonymous

Katie was quoted in an article last year saying her daughter loves dresses, and won’t tolerate wearing pants, so her mother respects her wishes and lets her wear dresses.

I’m guessing Suri probably doesn’t get cold easily, since she’s tagging around in October without a coat. And remember, you don’t get sick from being cold, you get sick from being exposed to viruses, scientific trials have proven it.

  • Anonymous

If I were a Starbucks “barista” i.e coffee maker I wouldn’t be admitting it much less bragging about it.

  • Anonymous

THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA! PARENTS DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN CELEBRITY WORSHIP! LOOK AT HOW THEY ARE RAISING THEIR OWN CHILDREN! A 3 YEAR OLD, ALREADY A SEX OBJECT. WHAT’S NEXT? SURI CRUISE SMOKING CIGARETTES BECAUSE SHE’S AN ADULT IN A LITTLE GIRLS BODY. FYI TOM CRUISE….IT’S NOT CUTE, ITS VULGAR.

  • http://infdaily.com Anonymous

As a widow with three children, Starbucks has been very good to me.

    Signed,
    Proud Barista

C’mon people! Starbucks also sells Hot Chocolate!

    Wow, people….Seriously!

  • janeycat

yea,I have noticed that Tom does wear hills so he will be as tall as Katie….saw them on the red carpet once and she was just a little taller..someone must have called it to his attention…Ha

Katie is pregnant, I heard it a while back and she does have a baby bump going on..there are some pics of her on ET site and its obvious in all of the recent pics they have of her.. I am glad she let her hair grow out,she has pretty hair.

Katie could at least put tights on Suri to keep her warm and a short sweater would cover her arms and look so cute. She would look as well dressed as Katie then. She could find boots with a little hill to fit Suri. She always lets Suri look like a little rag-a-muffin and her hair always looks like it has not been combed. I know they can afford hair barrettes.

They may let her have coffee if she wants it. Its obvious she dresses herself and they are Scientologist.Huh..

  • Paul

it’s so hilarious to read all you judgmental, arrogant people spew comments about how this is a bad thing or that Tom and Katie are bad parents…hahaha! If you people focused half as much on your own lives, and children’s lives, as you do on celebs, maybe things in this country would be a bit better. Get over yourselves! Seriously! GET A LIFE!!

I think the chaos and commotion that surround this adorable little girl everywhere she goes is much more damaging to her well-being than drinking any of the child-appropriate drinks that Starbucks sells. Or wearing cute little high heels, for that matter. The little girl lives in a grown-up, glamorous world, and probably wants to look like mommy sometimes. I do wish she would wear a coat on a cold day, but sometimes kids argue about it. I have let my daughter go coatless, just to prove to her that she will get cold without one!

  • Anonymous

Who the hell cares about the Cruises, Starbucks or whether their kid is in tights or barrettes or boots or whatever. *shakes head and walks away*

  • Anonymous

…and who cares if Katie is preggers again? What? Did she have a secret rendezvous with Chris Klein again? We know Tom can’t knock up a door let alone a woman.

  • Anonymous

she’s probably sipping on hot chocolate…

Suri is cute, but she should be bundled up.

and i don’t like how tom just shows her off like she’s a prize…

suri will have a complex one day.

  • mom also

Suri looks cold while momma and daddy are in long sleeves.
If she loves dresses, sweaters adn tights are an option.
While my girls loved dress up too, I only allowed play shoes at home inside, as they fall down in them and cannot run.
Tom and Katie usually seem to be playing for the camera so that they maybe did not notice how cold she looked….but then maybe it was for a few seconds…whatever to this whole hoopla.

  • Anonymous

I think parents of 3 yr olds should dress their children for the seasons. Let them pick which coat to wear, and leave it at that. The shoes she’s wearing are bad for her feet.

  • Anonymous

Suri is so precious. She is also personality plus. If she were mine, I would let her drink Starbucks and wear high heels too. — and this from an old retired school teacher! :-)

  • Anonymous

DUH didnt you know….Starbucks has a menu including kids favorites like hot chocolate.

  • Anonymous

This is insane! I take my children with me to Starbucks all the time – Starbucks doesn’t just sell coffee! Plus, it is quite common for little girls to “dress up”; it’s part of being a little girl. It’s just like seeing a little boy wearing cowboy boots, but I’m sure no one would make a big deal about that. Get a clue!

I have a daughter exactly her age. Suri is a beautiful, happy, well raised three year old. My daughter is a tom boy who loves dresses and heels while climbing trees and playing, hates jackets, and loves coffee. She is smarter than a lot of 8 year olds. Leave them alone! Oh, and my daughter still LOVES her blankie, though she is not at all dependent on it. It’s just a cozy friend. No therapists needed.

  • Lousy parents in here

Little girls do “dress up” and it’s appropriate at home with Mom’s high heels. Or in rare instances like if Mom and Dad took her to the Oscars. The issue is, this is the second recent time out just walking around (in what I believe is a different pair) in small, children’s high heel shoes. So they have bought the little Emelda a wardrobe full. This is inappropriate and will damage her feet if she is always in them. When a small little girl says she wants to wear high heels all the time proper parents are expected to say, no. No, only big girls wear shoes like that. As a parent, who is the boss? They my generally be pretty good parents, but on this they are lousy parents. If you don’t agree and are blinded by celebrity, you too are lousy parents.

  • Anonymous

Oh come on my 3 year old when we go to dunken gives her a lil coffee cup with milk and for the heels those are cute my daughter has a pair of dress up heels that she wore for a month everytime we went out

  • Anonymous

Why are Katie and Tom dressed for fall with flannel shirts and jeans and little Suri is running around with a summer dress and bare legs. She is at least 3 years old, Katie needs to ditch the baby blanket and dress this child properly. It is cold in Boston at this time of year.

  • Anonymous

Why is that child always in dresses with no sleeves or tights on in the cold weather?! Notice the parents are warmly dressed and have their 3 yr. old prancing around in summer clothes. HELLO?!

  • pansey

These photos were on another blog site – Suri was sipping on an "empty" cup, playing pretend coffee drinking.  Most of you must not have kids – otherwise ypu’d know that kids take their sweaters off ALL THE TIME – notice that her daddy is carrying her sweater.  And, little girls like to play dress up with plastic fake heels.  Geesh……………you people need to chill.

  • Anonymous

    dude, they serve hot chocolate.

Seriously! Suri is probably drinking hot cocoa or apple juice! What little girl doesn’t love to wear her “fancy” little play shoes when she goes out?? My daughter used to wear them & a tutu over all of her outfits! She’s also loves her Starbucks too! I always picked up a little cocoa or juice at Starbucks too! Who cares about her cute fuzzy blanket! My daughter had one until she was 4! She’s a very well adjusted young lady who is a talented violinist, pianist, student, and cheerleader! :-)

  • Nonnie22

What a darling little girl Suri is! My grandone is a little older and she’s a clothes horse, too. Maybe she’s a clothes pony! Not long back we went grocery shopping together and decided to wear white gloves. We were stunning. Letting little girls play dress up is a wonderful thing. My daughter (the grand’s mom) would have none of it. So I think the grand is God’s way of rewarding me for not killing my girl when she was 16!

  • Anonymous

I’m just saying, from this picture it looks like it’s pretty cold out. Everyone is wearing coats and sweaters yet Suri has on a flimsy dress while they are carrying a blanket.

  • Anonymous

Question: Does Tom Cruise ever touch Suri? It seems that every photo of the happy family shows only Katie taking care of her. Probably just a paparazzi thing…

  • R U Serious???

I have a feeling the people who write these stories don’t have kids.

    1. Maybe Suri doesn’t like jackets. It happens. They have a blanket for her. It keeps her warm. Who cares.

    2. What could be in the cup: apple juice, that tea/lemonade thing, chocolate milk, hot chocolate….one of those milk steamers they sell.

    3. The heels: Odd, yes. But heck, that child never walks anyway. For all we know, Katie has another pair of shoes in her bag.

Kids are weird. Plain and simple. It doesn’t matter if your mom and dad are famous…they are weird. They do odd things. She’s a little girl…in a few months I’m sure she’ll be onto something else.

Give the family a freaking break.

  • Anonymous

Leave the little girl alone. I remember walking to school one time in first grade just steaming mad because my mother made me wear a sweater and I was *not* cold! Kids can tell if they’re too cold, really. And little girls like to dress up, too. Looks to me like she is a healthy, happy, well-adjusted little girl, and cute as a button. Nobody is a perfect parent, but these two look like they are doing just fine. Leave them alone already.

  • Anonymous

What a sick scene……from high heels to blanket.
This is going to be one sicko kid with sicko parents.

  • Anonymous

Leave the little girl and her parents alone.
Like others have said I highly doubt she’s drinking coffee and sometimes you can’t get kids to wear what you want no matter what you do. She probably needs the blankie for security…I bet all the photogs scare the poor little thing. How would every one of you like to grow up in a fishbowl??

  • Sue Amos

Oh how great! despite Her parent celebrity she seem quiet comfortable in her world.Normal little girl dressing like Mommy! She is a very normal little girl. thumbs up to Tom and Katie for keeping it real! Oh by the way Starbucks sells MORE then Coffee.. HOT CHOCOLATE…I thought Tom and Katie was very gracious for being so friendly to ALL the looky-lous.As for the blanket if I had alot of strangers yelling my name I want may blanket to! STRANGER DANGER… HELLO

  • bperk

Sometimes you have to save kids from themselves. When it is cold outside, you have to just fight with your 3 year old to wear weather-appropriate clothes.

  • Anonymous

Starbucks does have kid’s cocoa. And those really aren’t heels. From the title, I thought she was wearing stilleto’s or something.

  • keren2

thier is alot of hate in these comments. “only babies have blankets” “sicko kid with sicko parents”. Really? Leave them alone. She has a blanket…and is holding a starbucks coffee. its probably cider…or her mom’s empty coffee cup. because 3 years olds never like to hold their parents stuff? This is a celebrity blog not the washington post.

  • Anonymous

Starbucks sells cider and cocoa. And EVERY little kid parades around in outfits – my son used to wear cowboy boots with a fireman’s jacket EVERYWHERE! and my daughter wore more pretty heels when she was young than she does now! LEAVE THEM ALONE!! And yes – what is wrong with a blanket fr a 3 year old??? Seriously? If you have paprazzi following you I suspect you would always have a blanket too!

  • Anonymous

P.S. Many Psychologists would agree that letting a child wear whatever they want – be it a superman outfit or cowboy boots or pretty tutus –as long as it is not indecent – is actually healthy. My daughter thought she was the prettiest thing in her punky brewster type outfits. And who am I to argue with a 3 year olds taste. As long as she kept herself warm (and every kids tolerates cold differently) – and wasn’t obsene, she was fine. And she is extremelt well adjusted…. she also drinks starbucks cocoa!

  • Anonymous

since when did a counter person at a store fountain become “a barista?” Of all the pretentious job titles this one ranks right up there at the top.

I see nothing wrong or innapriopriate, sipping coffee, I was born and raised in a latin american country, in which drinking coffee has no age, I would say than even younger than Suri Cruise, we drink coffee.
I see no biggie, with Suri drinking coffee. LIVE AND LET LIVE PEOPLE!

  • V

I just had starbucks last week. I am 38 and pregnant and Starbucks serves steamed milk too in a Starbucks cup!

  • Anonymous

Suri is cute and seems well adjusted . I Love Kate and Tom has grown on me also, Starbucks sells cider ,hot coco and you can even just get a cup of water, or like someone else suggested it may also just be an empty cup. Little girls play dress up and I don’t see any high heels on this child. Suri is sweet everyone just need to LEAVE HER ALONE

  • Anonymous

A vulgar, staged photo op. Pimp out the child.

  • Anonymous

Her parents are always dressed in long sleeves and pants yet this child is walking around New England in October in a sleeveless dress that goes up to her mid thigh? Isn’t the rule of thumb dress your child in one more layer then the parent? She’s probably drinking hot chocolate and the footwear is not something I would put on my child but she is always underdressed. October in Boston is COLD.

  • Anonymous

    A vulgar staged photo op?
You’re a tard. These people can’t even walk out of their house without being trailed by photographers. You think just because the headline says “Suri” that the Cruises are pimping out their child by going shopping? You need to get a reality check and turn that flawed judgement on yourself. It won’t be pretty.

  • cassie

I played dress up when I was a kid, I’m just fine. People, stop making a big deal out of this. To the person that called her a sex object……SHUT UP. If you see sex in a 4 year old, you must be SICK. Where do you live so I can keep my kids away from you.

  • Machelle

Suri like high heels and dresses, little Shiloh likes her slacks and boy hats. After while you will be calling her a lesbian. You people are crazy!!! They are KIDS. Kids play dressup, they usually come into their own when they are a teen.

  • Anonymous

that child is never wearing a jacket like normal people!!!!WTF

  • Anonymous

I hope I don’t get attacked for saying this but it begs to be asked. Is the reason we see Suri Cruise rarely dressed warmly for the cold temperatures because she has some form of autism or asperger’s? It would definately explain why she never wears a coat or socks or tights because it has been studied that it makes autistic people feel claustraphobic. They don’t like wearing anything close to their skin, it upsets them. Even in their hair. Suri also still drinks out of a bottle, 2 years after she should have stopped. There was a recent photo of her with a newborn style bottle in her mouth while getting out of a car. It seems like her parents certainly love and adore her. So I can’t imagine them being so neglectful by letting her dress like this in Boston, one of the coldest cities in our country. It must be something much more than that. It would explain why they have a blanket nearby all the time. It may be a substitute for a coat because it’s cozy and doesn’t feel heavy. Now if it isn’t medical, and they’re allowing her to make potentially dangerous safety decisions for herself, then I don’t even know what to say. Because that is absolutely bananas. But that’s just my opinion, which everyone is entitled to.

  • gh

To Cassie, Please, if you actually believe that allowing your 3 year old to wear a dress so thin and short with womanly high heels out in public and not in the privacy of your own home is ok, then please tell me where you live. Because that outfit is not for public consumption. It is a spectacle. How about we give our children attention for being intelligent. Being good artists, winning a basball game. Not for wearing a see thru mid thigh dress (you can see the child’s belly button poking out for God’s sake) with bloody high heels!!!!! And I bet she’s told constantly how beautiful she is. So sad. It is inappropriate for a toddler, who should be dressed comfortably and modestly. There is nothing beautiful about a half naked child wobbling down the street in heels while freezing cold!! Her Father was holding her sweater, why didn’t he make her put it on? The person who said this was vulgar is spot on! The Cruise’s should be ashamed for courting this type of attention from the public of their 3 year old child looking like a 20 year old. It is most definately vulgar.

  • Me

    Tom Cruise looks beautiful.

  • Anonymous

The cup is empty in these pictures. You can tell by the way it’s tipped. Plus anyone who has a small child would know you cannot trust a 4 year old with an open drink while carrying them walking down the street without wearing the drink yourself. I did also wonder about the outfits like others mentioned just because Tom and Katie are both warmly dressed, unlike Suri. Some children are more warm-blooded but they should have still covered her up more. I’m in Chicago and I’d imagine Boston is just as cold as it is here – definitely long sleeves and pants weather.

  • Anonymous

First of all, the coffee cup could have had anything in it. Starbucks caters to young children. Hot chocolate, cider, etc…. And, I have a small daughter that always wants to wear little heels outside. What I don’t understand is how this child is walking down the streets of Boston in late October with no jacket or stockings. Mean while Tom and Katie have jackets and boots! Katie is even sporting a scarf. I can tell by the people in the background, wearing hats and scarfs, that this is a cold day. Truly the only alarming part of that story. The other stuff is just little girl stuff.

Hey, negative, judging, unobservant people. Tom is holding Suri’s sweater… She probably started out wearing it then, like many children, got overly warm and wanted to take it off. Calling her outfit a “spectacle” borders on absurd. That is a very nice dress, not trashy or unduly revealing, and tons of little girls despise/won’t wear tights. And, yes, the Starbucks cup could be holding anything, nutritious or not. Wondering if Suri has Asperger’s is about as useful as speculating about what her future SAT scores might be. Ridiculous, people. Most commenters sound like they have such tiny little, judgemental minds and it is hilarious that people who are outraged about her outfit don’t notice Tom holding her extra layer/sweater. Ps. That is a teensy little heel on her shoe, okay, maybe not the most ergonomic shoes ever, but little girls are prone to like girly clothing and accessories and such.

  • Anonymous

These are not the little plastic high heels they sell for little girls to play dress-up. These are apparently heels sold to mothers who are willing to pay the price for their baby girls to dress like grownup women. What a pity! Children should wear children’s clothes, not clothes and shoes designed to be worn by adults. Let her be a child, for pete’s sake, she will grow up soon enough! I feel sorry for her. She will grow up with psychological problems to be sure.

  • Anonymous

since when does a starbucks cup HAVE to contain coffee?!

  • TVannie

How can you expect Suri to wear shoes without heels, when both of her parents wear them?

  • AnneM

Suri’s shoes are not “playing dress up” shoes. Those are very expensive real high heels. Dress up is one thing, but real heels on a little girl? She’s going to screw up her back or her feet or both. Heels are not good for anyone especially a growing child. That’s my unsolicited opinion of what is wrong with her shoes.

Even if Tom is carrying her sweater, the point is, her parents are dressed for a cool day, Suri should be dressed in a equivalent outfit. Dresses are fine, but she needs tights and a jacket. Katie is even wearing fingerless gloves and Suri is sleeveless? Methinks the 3 year old might be the one wielding the power in this picture.

  • surfzen

Everyone is too young to remember James Mason’s daughter Portland and how she was raised. Looks like the Cruises have read the biography… http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/portland-mason-730505.html

I see nothing wrong with what little Suri is wearing and every little girl wear’s high heals didn’t we all when we were little? People need to mind there own business and stop worrying about other people’s. I think little Suri looks so cute.

Tom and Katie are way past their prime, not fresh talent and have abandoned all rational parenting mentors. Apparently Scientology advises them to exploit their daughter for attention (all photo ops are obviously planned), let her behave as she wants without discipline (spoiled) and advocate poor clothing choices (child abuse). And still the question as to if she is Really Tom’s sperm.
I find it appalling that shoe manufacturers would even make a tiny high heel, let alone promote muscle damage in a young child.
This is inappropriate attention for the wrong reasons and Suri is well on her way to becoming a young Drew Barrymore at an earlier age.

I am so tired of ignorant, judgmental morons constantly feeding off of negative publicity and creating it for Tom Cruise and his family. For Heaven’s sake, leave Suri alone. Starbuck’s serves hot chocolate, water, apple juice or cider, and probably anything else Mr. Cruise might choose for his daughter. Mrs. Cruise is carrying a lovely, ample blanket for her daughter; it is NOT a baby blanket. Mr. Cruise is carrying Suri’s sweater. You call those heels? Get a grip, people. Those are not heels. Suri might enjoy the feel of a soft blanket compared to the tight feel of a smothering little sweater. This is a loving family. That we get to even view them is such a delight. Negative thinkers and naysayers, don’t even look, just crawl off into your boring selves, and leave the rest of us who enjoy the Cruise family alone.

Those shoes, (with the exception of a 15 minute dress up time occasionally) are a orthopedic surgeon’s dream. Suri will be paying someone to fix her spine / discs sooner than later. But…that’s the parent’s choice!

The fact that everyone in the photo (even those surrounding the family) are wearing winter clothes tells you something about how cold it is in Boston at this time of year. If they weren’t hollywood folks everyone would forget about the heels and starbucks cup and take a double take at the kid not having enough layers on. It doesn’t seem rational and looks out of place like someone wearing a ski jacket in the bahamas when everyone else is dressed for summer. The difference between the two is a possible case of pneumonia.

  • Anonymous

This is pretty funny… Ohhhh, look at Tom’s shoes, too… Did you get a load of his heels as well? He doesn’t look good in plaid. The nerve of him wearing that when we all know plaid is not his BEST look. C’mon folks, really.

you do realize starbucks sells beverages other than coffee right? it could have been a choc/vanilla drink. geez people.

    1. little girls are always wearing mommy’s high heels.

    2. starbucks sells many other beverages.

    3. maybe the child just doesn’t need as many layers. there are people who really like the cooler temps.

    4. mom had a blanket in case the child needed/wanted to be covered up.

  • Anonymous

There is a woman in the back ground wearing flip flops and her parents don’t have jackets on and it’s sunny. Do you people have children? They don’t like coats and pneumonia is not caused by being a little chilly! Are you really all so perfect that you have time to judge these people you don’t even know rather than improving on yourselves!!!!

PS My three year old loves the hot chocolate form Starbucks which is just $1 and they make sure it isn’t too hot for the little ones. How terrible!

  • Anonymous

I looked at the photos and I watched the video. I saw people milling about all around the Cruise family in all manner of dress from heavy winter coats to shirtsleeves, carrying jackets… many in hooded sweatshirts. This child, while being carried, was wrapped in a blanket, and while walking is moving right along… exerting far more energy than her adult counterparts to keep up their pace… which probably keeps her warmer.

Clearly, this family knows that they are being watched and that they will be seen, photographed, exploited, and judged. Katie’s scarf is not meant for warmth… it’s a fashion accessory. Suri’s clothing too, a fashion statement. Personally, I’m of the belief that the parents should be in charge and should insist that their 3-year old dress appropriately for the weather. However, if they stepped out with a denim and sweatshirt clad 3-year old throwing a tantrum because she really wanted to wear her favorite little pink sundress and dancing shoes… well, let’s face it… we’d have a problem with that too!

We tend to be very intolerant of anything we deem inappropriate, but the vast array of opinions expressed in comments here would indicate that we all have a different opinion about what INAPPROPRIATE is. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes do not lead normal lives… they are not like the rest of us… they are celebrities… they do live in the public eye… everything they say and do is examined under a microscope. What a huge stressor that is on any family! The media attention lavished upon poor Suri and the fact that we as the public eat up every opportunity to catch a glimpse, cannot possibly be healthy for her. If she is screwed up (now or in the future), perhaps we should blame ourselves and not her parents!

I bet they’d give anything to be able to blend into the woodwork from time to time. I bet they’d like to take their daughter to the playground to enjoy a sandbox, a swingset, a merry-go-round, or a slide… to play with other 2, 3, and 4-year olds without a million cameras and cell phones snapping pictures. I bet they’d like to be able to go to McDonald’s and buy her a Happy Meal or Pizza Hut to enjoy a greasy slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza… but then we’d all complain how they’re making their little girl fat and allowing her to choose junk food.

We can let our kids go out for a walk without a jacket (hoping they’ll get cold and it will teach them a lesson about dressing appropriately), but Tom and Katie don’t have that luxury. They have the life they have and they’re trying to make the most of it. They appear to be very gracious amid the invasion into their family outing. Perhaps we should simply all back off a bit!

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT SURI’S PARENTS ARE ALLOWING HER TO WEAR ** HIGH HEELS **,. IT IS SO INSANE ON THEIR PART.
A LITTLE GIRL LIKE THAT SHOULD BE ABLE TO WEAR SNEAKERS, SANDALS, AND FLATS LIKE ANYOTHER CHILDREN. BY WEARING THOSE HIGH HEELS (AT HER AGE), WE DO HOPE SHE WILL NOT HAVE BUNIONS AND BACK PROBLEMS. AS FAR AS THE STARBUCKS COFFEE, I WILL KEEP MY MOUTH ON THAT. BUT SHE SEES EVERYDAY THAT HER MOM **MUST PURCHASE** A STARBUCKS COFFEE AND PROBABLY HAD A SIP OF HER MOM’S COFFEE AND LIKED IT.. HOPEFULLY, ITS NOT COFFEE (AGAIN AT HER AGE).

    THAT’S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ..

My niece loves getting chocolate milk at StarBucks and yes they put it in the same cup. No big deal. She’s only two. Media makes a big deal out of EVERYTHING. OMG she has a starbucks cup what horrible parents! Come on people get over yourselves. I’m sure there are more newsworthy stories out there.

I bet its a sugar free vanilla soy latte. I work at a Starbucks and Katie Holmes and Suri came in with her assistant.

She got three lattes. All sugar free vanilla and soy. And yes, she gave one to Suri.

Guys, calm down. Did you not notice in the pictures that 1. there is a blanket and 2. Tom Cruise is holding Suri’s sweater. If she was cold, she’d be wearing it. And like the other people have said, Starbucks offers a lot more than coffee. It could be hot cocoa, a soy latte, or whatever else they offer. Hell, it might even be a cold drink. YOU DON’T KNOW. Chillax. They’re living their life the way they want to, so mind your own business if you don’t like it.

My 4 year old starts every day out with lots of layers. Tights, socks, jackets, etc… By the time I get her out of the car, she’s managed to pull it all off. She rarely leaves the hous in anything but a sundress without throwing a tantrum and that is just how some kids are. it is a phase. Judge me, but keep it to yourself. Who cares. I bet if you saw me and my daughter trying to walk down the street with her sundress, princess shoes, and starbucks (milk) cup, you may not have looked twice. Get a life!
