People.com just announced that the 23-year-old Sports Illustrated covergirl and Leonardo DiCaprio are taking a break from their nearly three-year-long relationship, and that HE did the dumping!

A source tells People: “She wanted to move faster than he did, she wanted to move in together, so he broke it off.”

Apparently Leo, 34, was seen chatting up another girl in a New York nightclub last week. Says People’s source: “He was standing at the bar in front of everyone talking to a girl the entire night – and it wasn’t Bar. It was in no way behavior for a guy who has a serious girlfriend.”
