Katie Holmes is returning to the big screen to make her first movie since the 2008 flop Mad Money. The actress braved the cold with out a jacket this afternoon to shoot a scene for the upcoming The Extra Man.  The story is a comedy about a man who escorts wealthy widows in New York’s Upper East Side takes a young aspiring playwright under his wing.

The film co-stars Paul Dano who you may remember from Little Miss Sunshine and There Will Be Blood.  Paul smoked a cigarette and listened to some music (not sure if that was in or out of character) and while doing so had a little bit of a James Spader thing going on; hot!
