Is this a new couple I see before my eyes?!  Last night we caught Gerard Butler and Shanna Moakler getting quite close at a table at the opening of Gerard’s new restaurant Shin in Hollywood last night.

Sort of an odd pairing, especially since Shanna has supposedly been at her ex-husband’s bedside (a claim which the injured Travis Barker denies).  Once Shanna left the club, it seems like she wanted to pretend it didn’t happen as she left out a side door and hid herself in the backseat of her car. 

What do you guys think, is it a fling or the real thing?
