John Mayer can go from casual to dressy in a moment’s notice!

When we first spotted the singer shuffling around New York City yesterday afternoon he looked comfortable in a hoodie and jeans but when John later emerged from his apartment he was wearing a suit.

John made the slick switch in order to attend the Exploring the Arts Gala last night.  Hosted by legendary singer Tony Bennet and his wife Susan, the non-profit organization supports arts education in public schools, and was able to raise $1.2 million through the event.  Both Tony and John performed, with John doing his songs "Daughters" and "Waiting on the World to Change>"
