And the Nominees Are...

Ellen Page, Best Actress for Juno! Yay!
The nominations for the 80th Academy Awards were announced this morning and not only has Ellen been nominated for best leading lady, Juno has been nominated for best picture. (Ellen is pictured here at the Paris premiere)  I find it pretty impressive that Juno is doing so well, especially when it is going up against such heavy weights as Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood and George Clooney in Michael Clayton.  It’s refreshing to see such a young cast and new writer receive such high praise.  Of course the big question with the writer’s strike still in full effect is, will the show go on?  The Oscar peeps say the telecast will happen with or without them.
