Kitten snatched by convict

An innocent kitten was kidnapped from a Los Angeles pet store yesterday by a desperate convict, who police say needs urgent psychological attention. Onlookers watched in horror as the unsuspecting pet was snatched from its glass box by the blonde assailant, and driven at high speed to a house in the Hollywood Hills. One eyewitness said: "It was cruel. The poor little animal was meow-ing its head off, as if to say ‘Help, don’t let her take me. I’d rather stay in my box." LAPD said the suspect – who wore a yellow wifebeater and fingerless weight lifting gloves – had been convicted of several felonies recently, and was about to do jail time. The ASPCA could not be reached for comment.
